The part of the village known as “Il Castagneto di Apella“, is in the medieval centre of Apella. There are four different apartments, belonging to a medieval renovated building : three have two bedrooms, one has just one (triple bedroom). They are all very spacious, measuring more than 45/50 sq m The building they are in is made of stone with a slate roof, and has access to both an inner courtyard area and a garden where there are tables, chairs and a barbecue available for guests’ use. This provides a pleasant area in which to eat and relax.
The names given to our apartments all refer to terms used by locals to indicate known locations in the chestnut groves and surrounding woods. These can be noted for their beauty and/or their views but also because they are traditionally popular places to collect mushrooms.
The “Brasei” apartment
“The Brasei” is a large apartment (over 55 square meters), with two bedrooms. One is a triple and the other a double with a Queen size bed. There is also a living room with a sofa bed, plus kitchen with dishwasher, fan assisted oven, induction hob, refrigerator and freezer, and all necessary accessories, private bathroom with shower and bidet. Access to the apartment, which is on the first floor of the building, is via the original old stone staircase.
“The Giovarello” apartment
“The Giovarello”, also on the first floor, is about 50 square metres in size, with a private panoramic rooftop terrace, two bedrooms (one triple and a double), plus a kitchen with dishwasher, fan assisted oven, induction hob, refrigerator and freezer, and necessary accessories, private bathroom with shower and bidet.
“Il Prato del Ferro” apartment
“The Prato del Ferro” is on the ground floor. It is a spacious apartment with a triple bedroom, living room with sofa bed, kitchen with dishwasher, fan assisted oven, induction hob, fridge and freezer, and all the usual accessories. There is a large bathroom, with shower and bidet.
“La Prada del Re” apartment
“La Prada del Re” is on the ground floor. It has one triple bedroom and another with a double bed which also has its own independent, private entrance. There are two bathrooms, both with showers and bidet, and a kitchen with dishwasher, fan assisted oven, induction hob, refrigerator and freezer, and all necessary accessories.
